Live meditations during the week of Trump‘s inauguration
Plus conversations with Sharon McMahon and Van Jones
Love him or loathe him, Donald Trump’s second coming is likely to provoke strong feelings for many of us.
So next week, I’ll be launching a series of live meditations and conversations. It’s a reconvening of the “renegade sangha.” (Reminder: sangha = community.)
I’ll kick things off Sunday, January 19th, at 3:00 PM ET. I’ll do 10 minutes of guided meditation, then take your questions. Same thing on Monday, Inauguration Day: 3:00 PM ET, meditation plus Q&A.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I’ll have special guests.
Tuesday, it’s CNN‘s Van Jones. At 3:00 PM ET, I’ll do a live meditation, and then Van and I will take some questions and chop it up.
Wednesday, it’s Sharon McMahon, a.k.a. “America’s government teacher.” Same deal: 3:00 PM ET, meditation plus conversation.
These sessions are free for everyone. But, paid subscribers will have an opportunity to submit questions ahead of time in a special chat thread—which I’ll start Sunday—and those questions will get first priority.
One logistical note: in order to join the party, you’ll need to download the Substack app.
Hope to see you there.
xx
One of the things I love about what you are doing is the flexibility to provide support during current events like the inauguration and the periodic live meditations. I realize some would like you to do an app and having some of the guided meditations in an archive to access anytime would be good but the personalization of the live meditations and the Q and A’s add to the feeling there is a community supporting each other especially when it convenes on either specific topics or around current events, holidays or whatever. Feels much more personal than logging into an app and trying to find something relevant. Appreciative of you and your team as always!
Yes! Yet another opportunity to begin again.
