Morning Dan! I’m pretty psyched: there were relatively long moments (for me) where my mind was truly clear during this meditation. Of course, I had to begin again more than once. I am grateful for your example and the access you give us to teachers, especially Joseph and Sharon, but everyone you bring to the fore in your work. You are on the path of benefiting all beings everywhere. Onward!
This meditation was so peaceful for me. Joseph’s gentle voice, and my rhythmic breath lulled me into such a calm peaceful place. I generally do a mantra based meditation, I’ve enjoyed all of these offerings so much. Loved the quiet spaces in today’s. Thank you Joseph. Thank you Dan for doing this 7 day loveliness. Excited for our last one!
Thank you for bringing a friend of yours into meditation teaching who happens to be Black.
Sebene Selassie- what a relief!
I run into this default racism all the time with my swim team. People who were born with white skin I meet don't usually even know Black people, not to mention being taught by one.
It takes effort to break through the default othering. I love Pema, Sharon, Joseph and the rest of the meditation teacher firmament, too. Joseph Goldstein's little gold book A Heart Full of Peace is a book I give to friends interested in learning to meditate.
I bring your inadvertent courage up here in comments because even if you marched with Martin Luther King Jr. as my family did, we still need examples of the beloved community, the gift of seeing there are no others, even for a minute. Especially today,
Good Morning, Dan. I have been meditating since the 2020 pandemic. I meditate faithfully every day because I find that after some mistakes of thinking, "Oh, today I don’t need to meditate," you need to get out of your head doing something else, even if it’s for 10 minutes a day. Thank you for your journey, which led to my journey of meditation.
I appreciated Joseph’s alternative way of being with the breath, helped me shift into more of an observer role. I found the paradox of the breath interesting; ordinary and automatic yet vital to each and every moment of life. Grateful.
On a general tech note: for whatever reason, the audio volume on most of the meditations this week was super low. On a computer or a phone, with/without headphones. Didn’t matter. I had to turn my volume all the way up. Not a problem with the podcasts or live AMAs…
I did this one while waiting in my car, and for whatever reason, I really felt the “there is a body” noting today. Maybe because it’s different surroundings, or isolated from things…in any case, I appreciated the extra time to sit with it.
Joseph is simply the best. Thank you for sharing him with us. I’ve learned so much from his teachings directly and through you but wouldn’t have known of them outside of you, Dan. Grateful and always challenged.
Good morning! Thanks for another great guided meditation. I have a question about the live check-ins for paid subscribers (Thursday and Sunday). Will the recordings for these be made available here as well? I’m on the West Coast and have not been able to attend live, unfortunately. Thanks!
Good morning, Dan. Joseph Goldstein is amazing. This mediation brought a deeper sense of calm for some reason. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and being so open and honest. In addition, thank you for doing this whole series this week. It is just what we (I) need for the beginning of 2025!
This was the first time I’ve done a guided meditation with Joseph although I’ve heard him talk and know of him. Thank you. My breath feels so full and complete now. My body feels alive and present. Hers to a good winter Saturday

Beautiful meditation from Joseph. He is a profound teacher and such an elegant weaver of the Dharma.

As a new meditator I found the extra five minutes challenging! Ha. But can also see it allowed me to go a little deeper into the practice.
Celebrate both the challenge and the depth!

Good morning! Great way to start the Saturday. I have to go back and see which ones I missed. I think there’s 1 or 2. I think I missed a live also.
It’s fine, I’m fine! 😉
