Dan, I feel like we can call you Dan by now because so many of us have been part of the previously unorganized web of this movement that you have brought together here on Substack and who knows in the future. Ok, that was long winded.

You are not a washed up anchorman but you were previously on international news but that brought you on a different journey that you weren’t aware of yet; the path hadn’t been cleaned out (think The Secret Garden… the old movie with the very Victorian sickly boy). We are all brought together in this moment on our own journey and it’s from your efforts that began in various personal ways for each of us, but for you on that news stage in the middle of a story.

Basically you are the herder of feral cats instead of being the tamer of dragons.

And FYI to anyone interested - gerbils are found in the wild in Africa, India, and parts of Asia.

My mind goes to manatees and if they are just always that happy or if they know they’re happy. Either way. ☺️

Love this one! More like this please. Msybe a bit longer too. I like how Dan gives 2 minutes of silence. Maybe a 20 minute version of this one with 2 minute silences throughout

Great mediation. Just the right amount of guided-ness. Loved the line from Joseph G brought in and the gentleness of the meditation (also loved the true-to- Dan self deprecating humor of a “washed up anchor man”- another view I have is … who is also guiding many to be better versions of themselves, me included).

Thank you Dan 🙏🏻 Initially I lost my way in this new Subtrack platform. Great exercise for me in dealing with change & impermanence! Minor minor stuff compared to what you’ve been going through last few years.

Really like this stripped back meditation & delighted to be part of your new venture.

Thanks a million for all you do ☺️xx

Thank you so much! Not just for your guided meditations, but also for creating Ten Percent Happier. I tried three meditation apps before TPH. It was just what I needed: an app for adults with journalism cred, sound research and great interviews. Now I am excited to experience what lies ahead with your new venture!

Dan, thank you! This was so helpful in using mental noting. I’ve been listening to Joseph’s Abiding in Mindfulness sessions and last night he was just talking about mental noting and here you are this morning guiding me through it. It was one of the things in my meditation journey that didn’t feel quite natural but now I get it. And no, you are not a washed up news anchor. We are all so thankful for who you are and what you bring to the world. Thank you

This 10 minute meditation is so doable for me. I have been on a journey of finding a consistent meditation practice for many years now and all I can say is at this point in my life with your guidance and support I’m beginning again.

I as well am very excited about what is to come with your new venture.

Thank you, Dan 🤗

Agree with many of the above comments. Would like a few 15-20 minute guided meditations as you add to the library. And congrats on the new endeavor!

First time doing one of your guided meditations Dan and this was really great :). I laughed out loud at the mulligan line haha. I would love to know how you learned to teach guided meditation as you seem like a natural!

Thank you Dan! It would be great if you could add some sleep meditations and maybe some focused on teenagers? I like to try and expose my kids to meditation, which is something I wish my parents would have done.

Thanks again!
